MVU Solar Incentive Program

The MVU Solar Incentive Program is closed for the remainder of fiscal year 2011/2012. The budget allotted for residential solar rebates has been depleted. To date, MVU has approved rebates for over 93kW of solar electric generation. Check back in May 2012 for our new program that will begin in July 2012.

Program Requirements

• Incentives are available to MVU electric customers only.  Moreno Valley residents and businesses who are customers of Southern California Edison can get information about the SCE solar rebate program at www.sce.com.
• The qualifying system must be on the same premises as the customer.
• All solar system components must be new and approved by MVU.  Panels and inverters must appear on the latest California Energy Commission certified photovoltaic modules list or certified inverters list as posted on the Go Solar California web site.
• Panels must be warranted for 25 years, and inverters and labor for 10 years.  An electric meter must be in place to monitor the system’s performance.
