This new law bans smoking in a vehicle carrying occupants under the age of 18.

The new law requires the use of a hands-free device when using your wireless phone while driving a car.
Exceptions Include:
Emergency Personnel
Farm Vehicle Operators
Tow Truck Drivers
Commercial Truck Drivers
Motorists making 911 Calls

Prohibits a motorist under the age of 18 from driving a car in California while using a wireless telephone or a "mobile service device," such as a laptop computer, mobile data device, pager, walkie talkie or a handheld computer. Drivers over 18 years of age can use a hands free device while driving; drivers under 18 years of age cannot.
