Help Moreno Valley Police Find Justice for Norma Lopez
The Moreno Valley Police Department has identified 17-year-old Moreno Valley resident Norma Lopez as a homicide victim. It is believed that Norma was abducted on July 15th while walking through a dirt field in the vicinity of Nason Street and Cottonwood Avenue. Police recovered her body on July 20th in a field at Theodore Street and Dracaea Avenue, approximately 2 miles from where Norma was last seen. If you have any information that might assist authorities in finding the perpetrator(s) of this crime, please call the 877-242-4345 or the Riverside County Dispatch Center at 951-776-1099.

Reward Fund Established for Information on Murdered Teen
The City of Moreno Valley has established a fund at Wells Fargo bank to accept donations toward a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s) responsible for killing 17-year-old Norma Lopez.

Moreno Valley Community Park Parking Lot Closed for Maintenance
The Moreno Valley Community Park parking lot located at 13380 Frederick Street will be closed for maintenance on Monday, August 2nd beginning at 7 a.m. and will reopen at 5 p.m. Additionally, the disabled parking stalls will be unavailable on August 3rd from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to ensure they are appropriately marked.

Bethune Park Water Feature
The Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department has extended the hours of operation for the Bethune Park Water Feature located at 16745 Kitching. New summer hours of operation for the water feature are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, effective immediately. Bethune Park hours of operation remain the same, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Low-Cost Rabies Vaccinations and Dog Licensing Clinics Scheduled
The City of Moreno Valley Animal Services Division has scheduled five low-cost rabies vaccinations and dog licensing clinics in each of the five City Council districts during this spring and fall.
