Process and Forms

Review the General Rules and Regulations. Call the Film Office 951.413.3058 to verify what is required to obtain your film permit in Moreno Valley.
Complete all forms as required by the Film Office and e-mail them to film@moval.org. You may also fax the forms to 951.413.3314 or mail them to City of Moreno Valley, Film Office, 14177 Frederick Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92553.
The following outlines department responsibilities in reviewing a Film Permit Application.

Building & Safety Division Reviews site plan to determine if a Building permit is required for structural work over a certain height.	Economic Development Department Receives notification of filming and receives Production Report from Film Office once filming is complete (if required by EDD).
Finance Department Assesses a Business License fee. Only jobs over $200,000 pay gross receipts tax. Vendor receipts will not be tracked.	Fire Prevention Division Reviews site plan for generators, tents, food preparation etc. to determine if a Fire Activity Permit or Fire Safety staff are required.
Land Development Division Examines site plan to determine if a road encroachment permit is required.	Planning Division Examines the site plan to determine if an Encroachment Permit is required. Assists Land Development with GIS aerial map for complicated site plans.
Police Department Reviews site plan to determine if Police are required for traffic control. If so, they calculate extra duty overtime.	Risk Management Division Determines insurance compliance.
Transportation Division Reviews site plan to determine traffic control plan (if required).
