Moreno Valley Idol Winners Announced

The City of Moreno Valley announced the winners of the Moreno Valley Idol competition at the Family Fun Fest celebration on July 4th. The competition to name the top vocal soloists began in April and consisted of two rounds of auditions and final performances in front of the large Moreno Valley crowd gathered at the 4th of July celebration the winners for each category were:

Minnies – Ages 7 - 10	Juniors – Ages 11 - 14
Robynne French - First Hilda Rosenthal - Second Illeleana Faldas -Third	Elli Soufi - First Genevieve Ellis –Second Keith Williams – Third
Teen – Ages 15 - 18	Young Adults – Ages 19 – 30
Alexis Umanthum – First Jazmine Fountain – Second Nadja White – Third	Rina Gillard – First Carrie Martin – Second Michael Leon – Third
Adult 31 +
Myrlintha McKinney – First John Trevino – Second Laura Dunn – Third

First place winners in each category won $500; second place won iPod Touches; and third place won $50 iTunes Cards. Over 200 vocalists auditioned for the Moreno Valley Idol competition. For more information contact the Parks and Community Services Department at 951.413.3280.
