City to Offer Online Business License Renewals

Moreno Valley, CA: Business license renewals start January 1, 2010. To make renewals more convenient for business owners, business license transactions may now be completed online. Beginning the last week of December, renewal notices will be mailed to all businesses with active licenses. The renewal notices will include your business license number and an online PIN number that can be used to renew your license online. Payments may be made with Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card at https://bl.moval.org/bl_web/ starting January 1st. Payments received after February 1, 2010 will be considered past due and penalties will be incurred.

A business license is required for all individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and trusts conducting business in Moreno Valley, including home-based businesses and non-profit entities. Licenses are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. Fees are based on the calendar year gross receipts for each business entity.

If you have recently started a business in Moreno Valley or relocated an existing business to Moreno Valley, you must fill out a new business license application, available on the City’s web site. The application will be reviewed by zoning, building and safety, fire safety, and finance officials before a license is issued.
