Day Street Road Closure to Begin December 1

At the request of the Edgemont Community Services District, Day Street from Alessandro Boulevard north to Bay Avenue will be closed beginning December 1. The purpose of the full road closure is to provide public safety during the installation of 1,200 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sewer main on Day Street. The road closure will accommodate construction activity that requires the full use of the right-of-way on Day Street. Additionally, the full road closure will expedite the installation of the sewer line and open the street to normal traffic flow as soon as possible. Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained as much as safety conditions permit. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of January, 2009.
