Hazardous Waste Collection Event: February 4 & 5, 9am - 2pm

The County of Riverside will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection in Moreno Valley on Friday and Saturday, February 4-5, 2005 at the City Corporate Yard located at 15670 Perris Boulevard from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

If you are cleaning out your garage, now is the time to get rid of the hazardous waste and electronic waste (e-waste is only for Moreno Valley residents only) you have stored there.

Here are examples of the hazardous waste you can bring to collection event:

Deodorizers Pool Chlorine
Cleaners Sharps/Needles
Bleach Household Batteries
Floor Wax Car Batteries
Spot Remover Garden Chemicals
Drain Cleaner Motor Oil
Furniture Polish Used Oil Filters
Aerosol Cans BBQ Propane Tanks
Latex Paints Florescent Lights
Oil Based Paints Mercury Thermometers
Weed Killer Televisions
Fertilizer e-waste: Computer Monitors, CPUs, and Computer Equipment
Antifreeze Microwaves
Pesticides Any Electronics
Gasoline Cell Phones


You may bring up to five gallons of a hazardous liquid waste or a total of 50 pounds maximum per car/per trip (enforced by CHP). Multiple trips are allowed.

Containers must be marked and secured to prevent leaks. Do not mix waste products. Containers holding gasoline will not be returned.

This service is available to residents who reside within Riverside County only. The next collection in Moreno Valley will be on June 17-18, 2005.
