For the fourth consecutive year, the City of Moreno Valley has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Moreno Valley for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2001.

"Moreno Valley citizens should be comforted in knowing that their city's finances are being managed effectively and efficiently," said City Manager Gene Rogers. "This demonstrates that city officials understand they are accountable regarding the use of tax dollars. We welcome this oversight of the city's financial practices," he said.
