The mission of the Moreno Valley Fire Department is to protect all lives and property within the City of Moreno Valley from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies and hazardous conditions created by man or nature, utilizing a regional fire/rescue system that recognizes today’s situations and tomorrows needs.

About the Moreno Valley Fire Department

The Moreno Valley Fire Department is part of the CAL- FIRE/ Riverside County Fire Department’s regional, integrated, cooperative fire protection organization. Through this contract relationship with CAL FIRE, and the Riverside County Fire Department, the Moreno Valley Fire Services has the benefits of and access to:

The Moreno Valley Fire Department’s 84 uniformed personnel protect and preserve life, the environment and property through their efforts in preventing fires, fire suppression, emergency medical care, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, public safety education and community involvement.

Burning Permit

A permit is required for kindling or maintaining an open fire. Burning Permits can be
obtained at your local Fire Station 7 days a week, 8am to 5pm. For information on Burning Permits, please contact your local Fire Station.
